Our Creations
Eco-Institute
A sustainable school (primary and nursery) which served as a public space after schooling hours. The design served to create a link between the inner city and main transport line which allowed for a secure travel of students.
Further, inner courtyards allowed for open play and learning space.
Mixed-Use Residence
A mixed-use residential building. Ground floor dedicated to the public for commercial use. Hereby creating a public hub for the community. The building contained a variation of apartment types with shared courtyards, entertainment areas and play areas which encourage the interaction of people, enhancing the idea of “community”.
Hill House
A residence. The site location was in a valley and the aim of the project was to celebrate the natural environment. With an incorporation of internal courtyards, exposed trusses and an open plan- an internal/external relationship was created. The form of the building followed that of the hill behind the building, thus allowing for the maximization of views.
Modern-Mix Manor
This home is designed to fit into a developing landscape. Being part farmland, the intention was to bring in locally sourced raw materials i.e timber & unpolished stone -giving the house a natural façade. This design entails clean edges with overlapping features granting a modern twist. The open plan with large windows creates an airy and light atmosphere within.
The Archive
More than just a library. This building is designed to be an invitation to people with various needs. Be it a student doing research in the media centre and library or a professional needing downtime at the end of the day at the entertainment area. Spaces openly connect to each other and with the double volumes create a bright, airy atmosphere. The wide use of natural, raw material creates a connection between users and surroundings.
